Hello
I am
Balazs Vendler
Active rural retiree and homemaker.
My final project

My approach
I talk and think about business ideas, planning them, realizing them, and addressing the challenges that arise along the way. Perhaps in a somewhat different way than usual. Not from the perspective of the business itself, but rather from the direction of self-reflection, introspection, and facing the difficulties of life. I explore topics such as the fear of failure, embracing personal desires, understanding our own resources, and the distorting effects of the paradigms instilled in us. I encourage you to think more deeply about your own life and to face your fears and uncertainties in order to find your own path.

My Business Stories

Lost Garden
I believe one of the most important questions in my life is how to be a good partner to my wife. A vital part of her life is her career and her personal fulfillment. It’s an exciting question for me—how does my role as an investor change when I am a partner in her company? How does our business relationship affect our personal life? How can I be a good partner in both areas at once? How can I support her in a way that truly helps her? It’s a beautiful challenge, like an intricate dance where we are both learning together. The company started less than a year ago and has already won several international awards. But perhaps the greatest success is seeing Kata flourish in it.

Games for Business
The company with which we won everywhere. We won in Rome, Berlin, and London multiple times, and even brought home awards from the USA. We also won tenders across the world, from Germany to Malaysia, spanning several continents. Those years were crucial and full of lessons—dreaming up, developing, and bringing a product to market as an entrepreneur. It was an incredible feeling to see that what we created actually worked. And that this success had international value. This dream was born from burnout, then became a plan, and after 3.5 years of thoughtful work, it led to a successful company sale.

MarkCon
Following a business failure in 1999, I launched my marketing agency at the age of 24. I led the company for 16 years and finally moved on after 26 years. This agency was where I truly grew—not just as an entrepreneur, but as a leader and as a person. It was here that I hired my first employee, eventually growing the team to 35 people. It was also here that I worked with my first investor, from whom I later bought back the company. We had the privilege of working with exceptional clients, including the U.S. Department of State. In one of our final American projects, I even put my degree in Space Policy Consulting to good use. This journey taught me the essence of being a pure owner. In 2025, I sold the business.

The Phenomenals
This was my first classic investment—but perhaps it was much more than that. A true passion project. It started with a casual dinner with the founders, who simply wanted my perspective on their idea: helping parents navigate the challenges of raising children. "I’m in! I want to be part of this!" I thought. The goal was so noble, and the founders were such remarkable people that I knew I had to be part of their journey, regardless of whether it succeeded or failed. This venture was my classroom for learning how to truly serve other owners: understanding my boundaries, and knowing exactly when—and when not—to intervene in company affairs. Although the business didn't take off and the company eventually closed, something truly beautiful was born in the process.

This is my 1st book
I started blogging in January 2024. I began with business topics, then moved on to outer space and a few of my corporate projects... eventually, I found myself reflecting on self-discovery and perhaps more abstract ideas. Then came my dilemmas... my doubts. My fears. My desires. /// This book is a collection of my writings published between January 29 and October 3, 2024, all of which are available on my blog. The first edition has sold out. The second, revised edition, titled "What's Next? – Dilemmas of Self-Discovery," was released in February 2026.

Furthermore
The book Hovatovább (Furthermore/Where to Next) is a kind of "offline blog" about the dilemmas of human existence: who we are, how we live, how we create, and where we are headed. As you read, you will encounter universal human experiences—anxiety, shame, connection, the urge to create—alongside questions that shift as our lives evolve. In the process, you may recognize yourself in one of these lines, and whatever you see will help you find the person you’ve been searching for your whole life: yourself. Furthermore, perhaps you will finally understand... where to go from here.

Business Offer
2025.03.11.
So many of you have expressed interest in talking with me about your business but can't or don’t want to pay under the 'pay what it’s worth' model. Many of you have also mentioned that traveling to Pécs is difficult alongside your work commitments. Our Wednesday dog-walking conversations are popular, but this opportunity is very limited. That’s why I’ve come up with a new offer.

Testimonials

“I always see Balazs as an entrepreneurial role model. We have started the partnership since 2016. It was an awesome journey to work with Balazs to bring Games for Business platform to South East Asia. From the marketing initiative, pricing model to first project implementation, Balazs demonstrated the entrepreneur spirit. I am truly impressed with his thought process where he is able to envision the future based on the trends.”

Balazs is a truly international businessmen, but what I admire the most is his ability to build a successful team and a thriving international company supporting projects all over the world.
